Some Highlights in Vienna 02.02.2010

The Indoor Classic Vienna 2010 is over, and we can report 4 limits for the World Champs in Doha for Clemens Zeller/400m and Andreas Rapatz/800m (both AUT), David McCarthy /800 (IRL) and Abraham Morlu/60m (LBR). Also some nationals records were set, and in total 7 results found their way into the Top-10-positions in the World Indoor List 2010 (including one European Lead).

The entry-list is online. Almost 500 entries from 32 countries, that is a new record in number of nations for the Indoor Classic Vienna.


Information for middle distance races 10.01.2010

800m Men: There will be 3 races (A to C) which will have pacemakers going for a split-time of 52 sec. for 400m - so it doesn't matter in which race you are, they are all going the same pace!!!!

1.500m Men: There will be a pacemaker in race A going for a split-time of 2:27 min. for 1.000m

1500m Women: There will be a pacemaker going for a split-time of 2:13 min for 800m

Please be aware of the following:

Entry restrictions for following events:
Long Jump (men and women): Top 12 from entry-list (plus 2 Wild-Cards)
Pole Vault: Top 8 (women) from entry-list, Men's event only by invitation
1500m women (1 race): Top 14 from entry-list plus Entry-Standard 4:40min
1500m men (2 races): Top 23 from entry-list, participation in the A-race only by confirmation from the meeting organisers

Advance Rules:
60m (men and women): Best 16 advance to Finals A/B by time (at least 1 Austrian in every race)
60m hurdles (men and women): Best 8 advance to Final A by time (at least 1 Austrian)

Pole Vault Men 4,73 / 4,93 / 5,13 + 10cm
